NEW MANAGEMENT FOR SPITFIRES' FIRST TEAM
For the coming season, 2010-2011, Swindon Spitfires have appointed Paul Martin as First Team Manager.
Paul is an experienced F.A. Level 2 coach and is currently working towards his Level 3 - the UEFA 'B' Licence. He has been coaching Spitfires' First and Reserve teams for the past two seasons.
Acting as his assistant will be Mike Skinner, who steps up after managing Spitfires' Reserve team for the last two seasons. Mike is an F.A. Level 1 coach.
Paul and Mike would like to invite any experienced players who are motivated and willing to learn to come along and sample the training. Pre-season training is already underway on Tuesday and Thursday evening.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
